Reptiles in our region and how recording can help conservation strategies
Join us for the second of our Field Naturalists Information sessions, Friday 2nd September at the Tura Marrang Library at 2pm. Geoff will talk about reptiles in this region and how using citizen science we can learn more about these wonderful creatures and educate the public about
how we might identify and conserve them.
Geoff is a long time member of the ACT Herpetological Association and has given many presentations on Reptiles of South East NSW and Canberra. He was a strong advocate to include herpetofauna in Canberra Nature Map.
Geoff is a former president of the Friends of Grasslands, Conservation Council Canberra Region and Kosciuszko to Coast. Until Oct 2015, he and his partner Margaret Ning owned Garuwanga near Nimmitabel which they managed for conservation.
We will also have a NatureMapr familiarisations session after Geoff's presentation.
