Former president of the Canberra Ornithological group to speak

At the launch of the National Science Week and the Atlas of Life's new recording tool on Saturday August 13th, we are fortunate to have Chris Davey ex President COG coming to talk to us about how the Canberra Ornithological Group can use the recording system to look at and analyse their sightings. Chris will be joining the flora walk into the Tura Beach Flora Reserve led by Chris Warren (12 noon) and then presenting to us just after 1pm on Saturday at the Tura Marrang Library. Chris Davey, ex President Canberra Ornithological Group

Do come and join us and explore the new easy to use recording tool and see the history of the Atlas of Life project.

Luke Brown will be talking about our tropical fish visitors (11:00am) accompanied by some wonderful film from David Hannan and Toni Houston will describe David's film library and how we might have access to it. Alan Scrymgeour will be helping you explore the small stuff, using our great new microscope and some interesting specimens, or you can bring your own to see in detail.

Jenny and Graham Greenwood are providing nibbles around noon, so there is lots to enjoy as we start the National Science Week with a buzz.

National Science Week activities organised by the Sapphire Coast Regional Science Hub led this year by Doug Reckord of Bournda Environmental Education Centre.
