Photo Competition 2024 update

Atlas 2024 Photo Competition Update

Halfway to our closing date of July 14th, thanks to everyone who has entered their images. We already have a fine selection of images in our Photo Competition Galleries. There are images of old friends – crimson rosellas, purple rock crabs and jumping spiders and a few special sightings, like the diamond firetail and unusual fungi like the Mycena subgalericulata.

We are truely delighted to see we have already 5 videos in a category where we had none in 2022.

Drones and Landscapes

The drone images and landscapes are lovely, the photographer catching the light in the mangroves reminds us how beautiful the everyday nature that surrounds us here.

New to us …

There are creatures we’ve never seen before: the Red Triangle slug:

A fine catch !

Thanks to the contributor who added their image of the Stone Beach Curlew with a fish, an unusual visitor not seen by many.

We encourage all of you to add your favourite images. As well as the joy of creating a collection of beautiful local images, there are fine prizes to be won and a chance for your image to be part of this year’s exhibition.
