Look, Record and Learn
Eden Cemetery, is a lovingly maintained and historic cemetery, located right on the beautiful Aslings Beach, this will strongly influence the programme for this event. Jackie Miles will cover flora both in the Cemetery and along the beach margins, Deb Taylor will we scouring the whole area for our beloved invertebrates. History walk and talk will be led long-term member of Eden Cemetery Committee, Peter Phillips who will give fascinating insights to the Cemeteries past. Our lunch time speakers will cover topics such as coastal erosion and how Council manages our beach environments, we will hear about the work on the reestablishment Eden little penguin colony from the group that has led this effort and we will also hear about the newly established Eden Landcare group. So a diverse day for us all down at the beautiful Eden. Once again a day of history, ecology, and community! This is one in a series of events being held at each of the Cemeteries in the Bega valley, the programme has been running for several years and will complete in 2025, this project is an initiative of Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness in conjunction with Bega Valley Shire Council.
