Looking and Learning

In this event which is part of the ongoing Life in our Cemeteries programme we will be exploring the Rocky Hall Cemetery. Botanist Jackie Miles will lead a ‘walk and talk’ to indicate and record the plants of the cemetery and local historian, Fiona Firth will speak on the history of the cemetery. Anna Lindstrand from Potoroo Palace will talk about the work of Potoroo Palace and also the recovery of native animals after the bushfires and Deb Taylor will lead a ‘walk and talk’ about the resident invertebrates of the Rocky Hall Cemetery. Erin Moon will talk about local platypus in the Bega valley. A light lunch will also be provided by the wonderful people from Potoroo Palace.

 Featuring:

  • A wildlife rescue talk by Potoroo Palace’s Anna Lindstrand

  • Deb Taylor will lead a walk and talk on the resident invertebrates

  • Local platypus session with Council’s Erin Moon

  • A light lunch will be provided

This is one in a series of events to be held at each of the Cemeteries in the Bega valley in the coming years, this project is an initiative of Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness in conjunction with Bega Valley Council.
