Look, Record and Learn
I wanted to start the Life in our Cemeteries programme at Wolumla, because it is where I live, but Jackie suggested we start at Towamba - a good choice as we found a new orchid not known to science on our very first event. Wolumla has ended up being the fourteenth and our final cemetery, Erin and I have had fun putting together this final programme and hope you will find things of interest in it. We have taken the opportunity to review the overall programme and combine that with a focus on the local environmental education history. I am particularly interested to hear about the geomorphology of the Wolumla area, with its proliferation of springs which can be such a hazard in farmers paddocks.

This is one in a series of events which has been held at each of the Cemeteries in the Bega valley, the programme has been running for four years and will complete with this event at Wolumla our fourteenth and final cemetery visit. This project is an initiative of Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness in conjunction with Bega Valley Shire Council.
