Looking and Learning

In this event which is part of the ongoing Life in our Cemeteries programme we will be exploring the beautiful Bermagui Cemetery. The Bermagui Cemetery is surround by remnants of Bangalay Sand Forest which contains endangered ecological communities and some threatened species. Botanist Jackie Miles will lead a ‘walk and talk’ to indicate and record the plants of the cemetery and its surrounds and local historian, Fiona Firth will speak on the history of the cemetery.

This is one in a series of events to be held at each of the Cemeteries in the Bega valley in the coming years, this project is an initiative of Atlas of Life in the Coastal Wilderness in conjunction with Bega Valley Council.
