Launch of an eBook for young naturalists
Bournda EEC has just released a new multi-touch book Exploring and Mapping our Living World, an initiative of SCRSHSEN supported by Bournda EEC and the Atlas of Life.
It has been put together by Bournda teacher Julie Donne, working with community members from the Atlas of Life to map biodiversity using the NatureMapr software platform.
The eBook is free and includes many beautiful images of plants and animals, all taken locally.
The book guides teachers and students on how to engage in citizen science to record all the wonderful living things in our environment.
NatureMapr is a form of social media so the Department of Education guidelines apply when used in schools. Contact Doug Reckord at BEEC for further information and guidelines for use in schools.
